A NOTE FROM CAPTAIN SLATE & DIRECTOR

Congratulations!

You are considering one of the world's fastest growing sports as a career. It will open the door for considerable satisfaction as well as fun, adventure and financial gain.

Thank you for giving Capt. Slate’s the opportunity to offer you the most professional Instructor Career Training Program in the world. Capt. Slate’s is committed to providing you with training that will prepare you to meet your career goals and help you become successful in the diving business

In addition to preparing you for a successful career, we're committed to making your training program enjoyable and stress free. Give us a call and talk to us, we would like to help you plan your training program. This guide to a professional diving career is designed to help you choose the right direction and plan your career goals.

Capt. Slate’s uses the PADI System of Diver Education exclusively and all these courses have been approved for college credit by the American Council on Education, so you may earn college credits while furthering your diving career. Our scuba training programs are enjoyable, informative and interesting and are held in one of the most beautiful areas for diving in the world, the beautiful Florida Keys. The areas warm, clear waters abound with marine life and during a recent IDC program, the instructor candidates were surrounded by a squadron of 15 beautiful spotted eagle rays. So have fun while you learn to become a PADI Professional Scuba Instructor. All the tools you need to be trained as a professional educator are here at Capt. Slate’s.

A NOTE FROM THE COURSE DIRECTOR:

Frazier Nivens, Course Director

Thank you for your interest in our DM and Instructor Development Courses that we offer at Captain Slate’s Atlantis Dive Center. Capt. Slate’s offers one of the unique Career Programs available in the Sport Diving Industry. There is no finer PADI Instructor Development Course anywhere. If you’re looking for a career in diving Capt. Slate’s is the place to be.

We spend more time during our 9 day relaxed IDC program for classroom, pool and open water presentations so that you’ll have the edge over others attending the I.E. from other dive centers.

Our knowledgeable and experienced Course Director, Frazier Nivens has trained many instructors working in the dive industry today for the past 30 years. Our job placement service is one of the best in the industry and is free to Capt. Slate’s graduates. We’ll even help you put together an effective resume to send to prospective employers.

Capt. Slate’s offers complete continuing education programs with Medic First Aid Instructor, DAN O2 and Specialty Diver Instructor courses ranging from Deep, Wreck, Equipment Specialist, Photography, Shark Awareness and many others.

Capt. Slate’s offers complete all inclusive IDC packages including IDC, accommodations, all instructor related books and slates, PADI application and IE fees for only $2,195. Already got your books and a place to stay, our IDC alone is only $1,095.
