ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

The PADI Assistant Instructor Program will expand your career opportunities, prepare you for further training and insure your success in the PADI Instructor Evaluation.

This program will develop your skills as an instructional assistant, give you practice in teaching academic, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Experience programs.

 As a PADI Assistant Instructor you will be able to present academic elaboration portions for PADI Diver Courses under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor, teach and certify PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Divers under the direction of a PADI Instructor, teach and certify students in Emergency First Response after completing the EFR Instructor course, teach and certify divers in non-diving specialties such as Equipment Specialist and Oxygen First Aid after completing a Specialty Instructor program with a Course Director.

This Program will give you the chance to teach before attending the IDC. If you attend the PADI Assistant Instructor Program, then the IDC, by the time you get to the IE you will be the best you can be.

By having this additional program you can be 100 % prepared for the IE.

 
Prerequisite: You must be certified as a PADI Divemaster or equivalent leadership level with another training agency, current instructor in good standing with another diver training agency, a minimum of 60 logged dives, be at least 18 years of age, be fit for diving and submit a current medical statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months. Successfully complete a knowledge and skill pre-assessment, and if not a PADI Divemaster, a diver rescue skills assessment must be completed.

 
Certification: Upon successful completion of the program you will submit the PADI Assistant Instructor application along with a $25.00 membership fee and you will receive the PADI Assistant Instructor Certification card and Diploma.
