The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is 2 days of diving adventure experiences in Deep,

The PADI Assistant Instructor Program will expand your career opportunities, prepare you for further training and insure your success in the PADI Instructor Evaluation.
This program will develop your skills as an instructional assistant, give you practice in teaching academic, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Experience programs.
This program is designed to help you fulfill the requirements you need to attend the PADI Course Director Program held at PADI International in Santa Ana, California.
You
must be certified as an IDC Staff Instructor to attend this program. You will work along with our Course Directors and IDC Staff as you gain the experience at conducting IDC's so you will have no problem upon acceptance
at the CDTC program.
PADI Course Directors are authorized to train other PADI Instructors and is the highest rating available from PADI International.
Course Directors work with PADI 5 Star IDC's and CDC's to provide quality diver education programs at all certification levels. The Course Director is also able to teach a variety of Specialty Instructor Courses and become a Medic First Aid Instructor Trainer.

The DAN (Divers Alert
Network) and PADI Oxygen First Aid Provider Specialty courses are basic training classes in how to administer oxygen to divers in the

These
programs are a full day in the classroom, and are prerequisites before entering
the DAN O2 and PADI Oxygen First Aid Specialty Instructor Course.
These courses are taken in conjunction with
the Rescue Diver course so that you will be better prepared in the event of an

The PADI Instructor Development Course at Capt. Slate’s will help prepare the PADI Divemasters to become Career Instructors.
You will use the skills and knowledge acquired during your Divemaster course while learning how to teach the PADI System of Diver Education in the classroom, confined and open water.
The IDC is the heart of a developmental process that allows the instructor candidates to learn in a low stress environment. By concentrating on development and not tests, the candidate can learn more effectively.
The PADI IE is held in Key Largo and other areas following the Instructor Development Courses. The IE is conducted by PADI Headquarters and has no affiliation with Capt. Slate’s. I
t is held at a local hotel facility & only PADI Headquarters personnel are involved. Tanks, weights are provided free of charge to all Capt. Slate’s candidates.
In order to successfully complete the PADI IE, candidates will complete the following theory exams and show the following skills.

We will review all the things you will need to know to prepare for the theory exams and will go over with you diving physics, physiology, equipment, skills & environment, and the PADI RDP Table and Wheel versions so that you may take your exams with confidence.

If you are a diving educator from another Instructor agency, you can take care of industry demands and earn your PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor rating. The IOC program recognizes that you are already an experienced Scuba Instructor who only needs an orientation to the PADI System of Diver Education.
This condensed course focuses on first analyzing and understanding the PADI System, then adapting your instructional style to conduct the PADI programs. Capt. Slate’s conducts the program in 9 days. Capt. Slate’s allows you to attend the entire Instructor Development Course to gain the entire benefit of learning all you can.
After the IOC, you may decide to attend the PADI IE. The IE is PADI's opportunity to take a look at your teaching and water skills, and for you to evaluate PADI. Every PADI Instructor in the world has undergone the same identical, impartial evaluation.

The course consists of 10 dives, Deep, Wreck, Navigation, U/W Photographer, and Reef Fish Identification Specialties and is conducted over a period of 5 days. As an optional bonus Capt. Slate’s offers you the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty Instructor for those staying a 6th day, free of charge, so you get six specialties for the price of five.
All the selected specialty courses are those most popular in resort destinations and will allow you to have the specialties you need to be able to fulfill your employers needs.

The next step in your continuing education is
the PADI Rescue Diver Course.
A 4 day program, OD takes you through classroom and video presentations, confined water practice and then 6 ocean boat dives where you will practice and fine tune your rescue skills.
This class will help prepare you for the rescue skill evaluation in the PADI Instructor Examination.
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to enter the PADI Divemaster Course.
